Got a computer? Thinking of self-publishing? We’re here to help.
It’s time to get to grips with Microsoft Word and the practical steps needed to format a manuscript – for digital output and printed paperback. Members who use the program to produce published work will be on hand to guide you through the process, working in small groups.
The meeting takes place on Thursday, June 21, 2018, in the Lesser Hall of St Boswells Village Hall. Refreshments will be served from 7pm, with the session due to start at 7.20pm. Non-members are welcome to attend on payment of a £3 entry fee.
Visiting Pentland Writers
Time to hit the endless grey ribbon. Like Kerouac, we’re on the road…
Members have been invited by Pentland Writers for a social evening at Carlops Village Centre (just north of West Linton) on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 7pm. Cars will be leaving St Boswells at 5.45pm, so, if you’d like to offer or seek a lift, please check with secretary Tony Parkinson on travel options.
Writers should bring a piece of work to read for a five-minute slot and a food item for supper. It would be helpful if food choices could be confirmed to Tony to avoid duplication.
Please note that there will not be a meeting in St Boswells that night. The next home fixture is on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 7 for 7.20pm, when we’ll be looking at self-publishing and how to format a manuscript.
