Lots happening in June, so get your diary marked.
Friday, June 7, from 9am
Book Sale at Sainsbury’s, Kelso
Members wishing to sell their books should contact a committee member or deliver copies on the day to the table in the store at Pinnaclehill Industrial Estate.
Thursday, June 13, at 4.30pm
Borders Book Festival at Harmony Garden, Melrose
Join us in the Buccleuch Marquee for the launch of the new anthology, Border Voices: Coast and Countryside, and the 2019/20 programme. Tickets, priced £6, can be bought online at Borders Book Festival or at the festival bookshop on the day. The anthology and members’ books will be on sale at the back of the marquee after the event.
Thursday, June 20, at 7.30pm
Joint social with Melrose Literary Society at the Ormiston Institute, Melrose
A play reading of Top Girls by Caryl Churchill followed by a discussion. A light supper will be provided. Members are invited to bring savoury or sweet food and should contact Tony Parkinson (email@example.com) and Ros Anderson (firstname.lastname@example.org), who are co-ordinating these donations.
So don’t turn up at St Boswells Village Hall. You’ll feel alone and rather foolish.
Thursday and Friday, June 27 and 28, from 9am, both days
Book Sale at Borders General Hospital
Members wishing to sell their books can hand them to the committee at the Borders Book Festival or the joint social night in Melrose.
